Chimpanzee or Human?
It is easy to distinguish between adult chimpanzee and human skulls. The skull of a young chimpanzee is much smoother and rounder, with less marked brow ridges.(1) It is quite similar to a young human skull. (2) Apes and humans resemble each other more closely when they are young than when they are adults. The same is true of the 2-3 million year old Australopithecus infant. (3)
