Zoology Reptile,Amphibians and fish

There is some skeletal material, wax models of embryological development, and several hundred wet specimens. An online catalogue is available for the wet-preserved fish and amphibians. The reptile material is in preparation. There are some very fine wet skeletal preparations of sharks, fish and amphibians purchased at the turn of the 20th century from the Czech supply house of Václav Fri_Ć.

Purchased also by Professor John Graham Kerr at the same time are some series of the unsurpassed Ziegler wax models of embryonic development of fish and frogs that are used to this day in undergraduate teaching. Lungfish material collected by Graham Kerr and associates on field visits to South America in the early 1900’s formed the basis of his research into this group.
